MICRO SPRAYS & SPINNERS
Golden State Irrigation carries a full range of micro sprinklers, with each covering a large range of flow rate possibilities.
Each micro sprinkler is connected, at every tree, to a polyhose that runs down every row.
Different types of Micro Sprinklers:
- Jet – No moving Parts
- Spinner – Larger coverage area than a Jet
- Rotator – Slow rotation and larger droplet size
- PC Jet - Pressure compensating device delivers same flow rate between 25-50 psi. Specifically used in fields with elevation change
Benefits of Micro Sprinkler systems:
- Targeted irrigation area where water stays below the canopy
- Decreased water loss from evaporation, wind, and runoff
- Soil erosion minimized where crops are planted on slopes
- Less filtration required than drip
- Fertilizers injected into system delivered to targeted area
- Possible Frost protection in some areas
- Less pressure required to operate than traditional sprinkler system
